Wooster Studio, an audio production company specialising in audiobooks, podcasts, and sound design, sought to expand its services and reach. Having recently upped sticks from London to the Kent coast, they partnered with SMART to design and build a brand-new website.
The main goal for the new website was to stick closely to Wooster Studio’s existing brand guidelines, whilst also giving their style a bit of a refresh to create a modern, professional online presence for an audio production website. Key requirements for the website included an easily accessible contact form and the ability to play audio clips directly within the browser, with a straightforward process for adding and editing featured audio clips. The site also needed to incorporate visuals explaining audio production that would resonate with a global audience, and feature a team members section designed for future expansion.
SMART delivered a comprehensive and tailored solution for Wooster Studio by building their new online presence on the robust WordPress platform. Initial UX design layouts, meticulously crafted in Adobe XD, ensured the website perfectly captured their existing brand while delivering a fresh, modern aesthetic. To meet the core requirements, Custom Post Types (CPTs) were implemented for both audio clips and team members, providing Wooster Studio with an intuitive way to manage and expand their content. Furthermore, the integration of Crocoblock plugins allowed for seamless in-browser playback of audio clips, making their portfolio easily accessible to visitors.
This strategic blend of design and technology resulted in a highly functional and visually engaging website that empowers Wooster Studio to effortlessly showcase their audio production expertise, manage their content, and scale for future growth.
